Halloween Décor

The holiday we've all been waiting for (or maybe just me) is finally here – Halloween! There are so many things I LOVE about Halloween: scary movies (even though I get really scared), the changing of the season (who doesn't love all the fall colours and being able to wear your favourite knits), and dressing up as whatever you want to be, I think there is still a kid inside all of us! Plus, decorating for Halloween has always been one of my favourite things to do!

Even though I admire people who go all out decorating their homes for Halloween, like 2Ladies & a Chair (their Instagram photos are amazing, follow them @2ladiesandachair), I tend to do more minimal decorating around my condo by adding to the classic pieces I already have!

New York City

Recently I travelled to one of my favorite places, New York City!
Throughout my life I’ve had the opportunity to visit the city many times – my first time being when I was only 3!
I love going back as I ALWAYS discover new and exciting things that I want to share! Normally I revisit some of the more touristy attractions (museums, art galleries, etc.), but since I was travelling with my mom (who is also an avid traveller to NYC) we decided to spend most of our time at some of our favorite spots and explore new places!
We stayed at the Roxy Hotel  formerly known as the Tribeca Grand. It turned out to be a great location. Right on the border of SoHo and TriBeCa, we were able to walk to many bars, restaurants and shops easily. Plus, it was located near a subway station.
Of course, I did some shopping while I was there, but not as much as I usually do – the Canadian dollar (which is kinda sucky now) held me back! Regardless, it is still fun to window shop in NYC, as the window displays are filled with the latest fashion trends and the exterior/interior designs of the stores are incredible! Plus, NYC is one of the few cities where you can find almost any store you desire!
Some of my favorite spots we hit up were:
CaféSFA at Saks Fifth Avenue was one of my Nana’s favorite spots to eat, so it’s a place that I will always revisit and cherish. It’s a great place to take a shopping break and grab a drink or a bite to eat!
Ladurée in Soho I mean who doesn’t love a good macaron?
LouisVuitton in SoHo is a must for me too. This time around I got to meet one of the artists that does the custom work on the trunks and bags! It was super interesting to learn about their process and techniques. How fun of a job would that be?
Saint Laurent that is located in SoHo on Greene Street is one of the prettiest stores I have ever seen – the white marble walls had me swooning!
