With Christmas just around the corner, it’s time to deck the halls!
I recently got together with my friend and fellow interior stylist, Erika Veh, @ErikaVeh to do some holiday décor shopping. It’s always fun shopping with her, as we have such similar taste (in both décor and fashion) and often find ourselves gravitating towards/owning the same items! So if you need some ideas on where to find the best holiday decor, take a look at some of the places we went below.
The Toronto Christmas Market in the Distillery District (Free admission Tuesdays to Fridays and $5 per person on Saturdays and Sundays) Besides all of the beautiful decorations they have hung around the Distillery, they also have tons of pop of vendors that have great home décor pieces for the holidays – from tree ornaments to nutcrackers and even handmade candles!

My Favourite Everyday Beauty Products

Anybody who knows me knows that I love trying new beauty brands and products! But over the years, there are a few products that I just can’t seem to live without now. Here are my go-to beauty essentials that I use everyday and think you should try too…
Hoola Matte Bronzer, Benefit Cosmetics I’ve been using this bronzer for over 14 years now, and it still remains to be my number one! It’s perfect for all skin types (both men and women), as it has no shimmer or sparkle and leaves the skin with a clean matte finished look.
Vitalumière Aqua, crème powder, Chanel The entire Chanel cosmetic line is amazing, but I especially love their crème power foundation, as it gives your skin an all-over, even tone without feeling too heavy.
Shimmer Brick, Bobbi Brown in Bronze, this stuff cannot only be used as a blush, but also as a highlighter or even eye shadow! It comes in several color palettes that you can mix/combine and is great for travelling, as it’s easy to slip into your purse for those long days that turn into night and you need a bit of shimmer!
MAC Mineralize Charged Water Moister Gel I started using this moisturizer about a year and a half ago and have had amazing results. It’s a lightweight gel, but because it is water-based it keeps my skin super hydrated (even in the dry winter months)!
NARS blush in Torrid The reason I love NARs blushes so much is because they are available in a variety of shades and the pigment is super rich when they are applied. I often wear Torrid, as the coral red shimmer compliments my skin tone (with or without a tan). I will often use Torrid or Orgasm (which is a lighter peachy pink shimmer) on my wedding parties for this reason too!
MAC c-thru Lipglass Although sometimes I think my lipstick collection has gotten slightly out of control as I have far too many to choose from, this one is my constant go-to (I always keep it in my purse)! This is a great everyday lip-gloss if you just want a more natural glossy nude lip. All in all, it looks nice with any clothes it’s paired with and is great for both day and night!
Chanel Mascara, Le Volume De Chanel I have tried SO many mascara’s over the years, but this is by far my favorite! I’m constantly recommending this to my clients and they have all loved it too. I find it plumps my lashes and gives volume at the same time, without looking too clumpy.
Chloé Eau de Perfume If you follow me in Instagram, you’ll know that I also have a love for things that smell pretty! So, it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that I have tons and tons of perfumes, body sprays and even home sprays! However, this is the only bottle of perfume where I have used the entire bottle… three times!
Dior Crème de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm This is a great lip balm for when your lips need hydration! I love using it under my other lipsticks and lip-glosses, as it smells like roses, keeps my lips moisturized and plump!
Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade After the first time I used this product, I became an addict. The reason why I love it is because it’s in-between a shadow and a waxy pencil, so it gives my brows a dense but natural look. It is also smudge-proof and long lasting, which is perfect for those days. Plus, the brow brush application process allows you to get a defined brow and is easier to apply than a brow pencil!

Chanel Black Satin, Nail Polish I can’t talk beauty products without mentioning nail polish. I’m constantly painting my nails, but this is the color that I favor the most! I know Chanel nail polish is a bit more expensive than the generic drugstore brands, but I find it lasts so much longer (both in the bottle and on my nails)!
I hope you find these products helpful and maybe you have already tried some. Let me know what some of your fave go to beauty products are! Thanks for reading!

Halloween Décor

The holiday we've all been waiting for (or maybe just me) is finally here – Halloween! There are so many things I LOVE about Halloween: scary movies (even though I get really scared), the changing of the season (who doesn't love all the fall colours and being able to wear your favourite knits), and dressing up as whatever you want to be, I think there is still a kid inside all of us! Plus, decorating for Halloween has always been one of my favourite things to do!

Even though I admire people who go all out decorating their homes for Halloween, like 2Ladies & a Chair (their Instagram photos are amazing, follow them @2ladiesandachair), I tend to do more minimal decorating around my condo by adding to the classic pieces I already have!

New York City

Recently I travelled to one of my favorite places, New York City!
Throughout my life I’ve had the opportunity to visit the city many times – my first time being when I was only 3!
I love going back as I ALWAYS discover new and exciting things that I want to share! Normally I revisit some of the more touristy attractions (museums, art galleries, etc.), but since I was travelling with my mom (who is also an avid traveller to NYC) we decided to spend most of our time at some of our favorite spots and explore new places!
We stayed at the Roxy Hotel  formerly known as the Tribeca Grand. It turned out to be a great location. Right on the border of SoHo and TriBeCa, we were able to walk to many bars, restaurants and shops easily. Plus, it was located near a subway station.
Of course, I did some shopping while I was there, but not as much as I usually do – the Canadian dollar (which is kinda sucky now) held me back! Regardless, it is still fun to window shop in NYC, as the window displays are filled with the latest fashion trends and the exterior/interior designs of the stores are incredible! Plus, NYC is one of the few cities where you can find almost any store you desire!
Some of my favorite spots we hit up were:
CaféSFA at Saks Fifth Avenue was one of my Nana’s favorite spots to eat, so it’s a place that I will always revisit and cherish. It’s a great place to take a shopping break and grab a drink or a bite to eat!
Ladurée in Soho I mean who doesn’t love a good macaron?
LouisVuitton in SoHo is a must for me too. This time around I got to meet one of the artists that does the custom work on the trunks and bags! It was super interesting to learn about their process and techniques. How fun of a job would that be?
Saint Laurent that is located in SoHo on Greene Street is one of the prettiest stores I have ever seen – the white marble walls had me swooning!

My sister Erin and I recently visited Colorado. We went down to work a wedding together; she is a photographer and as I’m sure you probably already know, I am a makeup artist and stylist.

We have been lucky enough to work together over the years but this was our first out of country business trip together and it was a blast!  The wedding took place in Keystone, Colorado, a ski resort town home to the famed Keystone Resort.
Once the wedding was over we had a few free days before heading back to Toronto. We did a day trip out to Colorado Springs then spent 2 days in Denver.
Here are my favourite things we saw and did!

The Rocky Mountains!!!  They are just as incredible in person as you can imagine.

We went to the Garden of the Gods and it was breathtaking! I had never seen anything like it before – red rocks bursting up along the natural fault line that lies below.  This National Natural Landmark has been preserved and protected over the years as it was a gift from the landowner – William Jackson Perkins – to the city of Colorado Springs with the caveat that it remain a public, free park for the rest of time.

Designing Around a Piece of Art – The Bar Cart

For my final space I have chosen another Andy Warhol print, the Perrier prints are some of my favorite Warhol prints that can be found on
I liked how bright and vibrate the colors where in this particular print. I thought it would look great behind a bar cart.

Designing Around a Piece of Art – Living Room

As I mentioned last week I have teamed up with, which is the world’s largest online auction marketplace of fine and decorative art, antiques, collectibles, and estate sales.

I have picked 3 painting and have designed 3 different spaces around them. The first piece of art I chose was an Andy Warho Mao print.
The second piece of art I have chosen is a black and white abstract oil painting by Angelo Trinidade.
